“14 tracks: Dynamic steppers”

In the studio/laboratories of rhythm auteurs like Breakage, Shackleton, T++ and Scuba, the pattern formulas of Drum and Bass, Techno and Dubstep have been broken down to their molecular structures and reassembled with a darkside minimalist aesthetic. Our Dynamic Steppers selection cuts across these scenes to present some of the most important practitioners in operation, unbound by tempo but clearly defined by classic darkside traits, from occluded atmospherics to powerfully sculpted subbass and a reconfiguration of timeless steppers patterns descended from 70's dub reggae. The intensely scrutinized programming of D'n'B engineers Ed Rush, Trace & Nico, Photek, Teebee, or D-Bridge's Bad Company outfit have also played their part in the design of this selection, bringing the Dread-dub sound up to date with contemporary techniques, resulting in a direct influence on the techno inverted syncopations of Kryptic Minds and Instra:mental, T++ or Data. Like Kode 9 imagining dubstep with the residual flex of jungle, these artists manipulate the dancer's contours of D'n'B, techno and UKGarage from the shadowiest recesses of the warehouse.

“Lossless formats!”

I love the 14 tracks selections, the only thing that puts me off purchasing is the MP3 format, if you provided lossless formats FLAC/WAV I'd probably buy every one!

“Seconded!”

Give us the "14 tracks in FLAC" option. Would readily pay the uplift.

I feel like matt quinn gets no love here, maybe due to his involvement in 'Saturnz Return.' Yuval Gabay + Optical is pretty fun.
